Conor and I met in our old apartment building in Washington D.C. in 2020. Conor lived in the apartment below me, and I was above him. We both had balconies that we would frequently sit on outside.

One of my friends leaned over my balcony one day and called down to Conor, who was outside reading at the time, and said "Hey! Who are you?" After introductions and pleasantries, we would occasionally see each other around the building. Finally, I worked up the courage to ask him to hang out sometime.

After several months, Conor and I quickly became best friends and would do everything together. One day, as we were still just friends, I remember looking at Conor and realizing that I could see myself marrying this man one day. He emanated exactly what I looked for in a partner: kindness, compassion, friendship, and a willingness to help out anyone in need.

Over time, I worked up the courage to tell him my feelings. And now, as they say... the rest is history!

Jess and I met in Washington D.C. in August of 2020. I was peacefully reading on my balcony when a couple of girls started yelling at me from up above. After speaking with her initially, I got to know her even better as we hung out with our neighbors on the balconies surrounding ours. Eventually, I realized that I found myself sitting next to and talking to Jess every time I was around her, regardless of where we were or who we were with.

Over time, Jess and I were inseparable, and I fell and continue to fall deeper in love with her every day. She's my best friend, and I couldn't be happier that I'm spending my life with her.
