The Forum of Civics building is of recognized historical significance and is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. It was built in 1910 as a county school building and has been owned by the River Oaks Garden Club since 1942. Its gardens provide valuable green space in the heart of the city.

The wedding ceremony will be held outside in the gardens. Due to the age of the building dancing is not allowed on the floors so the reception will also be held outdoors. We should have great weather this time of year in Houston but we want all our guest to be comfortable so please keep an eye on the weather and dress accordingly. There is parking available but space is limited. We recommend using Uber or hotel shuttle to and from the venue if possible.

Although we love children, we regretfully cannot accommodate them except for wedding party & family due to max capacity of the venue. We hope you are still able to join us and enjoy a relaxed evening with friends and family!

The wedding reception will be ending at 10pm. For those who would like to continue the party we will have an area at Kirby Ice House reserved for the rest of the evening. Kirby Ice House is about 1 mile from the reception venue and 1/2 a mile from the Crowne Plaza where the hotel block is.

Please note Kirby Ice House is 23 and over only.
