Bay Pointe Woods 5100 Oarie Dr, Shelbyville, MI 49344 The Woods is located across the street from Bay Pointe Inn. The ceremony will take place outdoors at 5:30 pm. The reception will be held indoors following the ceremony.

It is recommended to arrive 20-30 minutes before the start of the ceremony. The ceremony starts promptly at 5:30 pm so it is best to arrive 5:00-5:10 pm to get to your seat on time!

Our venue has a large parking lot in front of the building where the ceremony & reception will be held. This parking lot is located across the street from the hotel. There is a paved sidewalk leading from the parking lot to the ceremony site.

Semi-formal to Cocktail! Please no jeans/denim. For guys- Dress shirts and dress pants Tie and jacket are optional. For girls- Nice summer dresses or cocktail dresses. Please keep in mind the ceremony will be outside with grass at the end of May so dress accordingly! Also, check the local weather as Michigan can be variable during the late spring!

We love your little ones so much! However, we can only accommodate to those listed on your invitation.

Hors d' oeuvres will be served during cocktail hour, followed by a sit-down dinner. Late-night snacks will be provided later in the night as well. If you have any dietary restrictions please let us know with your RSVP.

There will be an open bar serving both alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages throughout the night. Ride shares are hard to come by in Shelbyville as it is a smaller town so if you are staying somewhere other than within the room block, please plan accordingly!

We have a room block at Bay Pointe Inn located across the street from the venue as well as cottages reserved next to the venue (both walkable distances). There are limited rooms available so let Jess or Josh know if you are interested! If you are wanting to stay elsewhere, there are lots of Airbnb available on Gun Lake as well as hotels in Wayland, Kalamazoo/Portage, & Grand Rapids area. Gun Lake Casino's hotel will be opening in March/April 2025, so that is an option as well!

The Kalamazoo/Battle Creek Airport (AZO) and Gerald R. Ford Airport (GRR) are the closest airports to the venue as well as Jess & Josh's family. Both are within 30 minutes of the venue. The Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW) is about 2 hours 20 minutes from the venue. Both Chicago O'Hare (ORD) and Chicago Midway (MDW) are about 3 hours from the venue.
