How do I RSVP? What is the deadline to RSVP?
You can RSVP using the RSVP tab on this website. We ask that you (and your plus-one, if applicable) RSVP online by August 1st, 2024.
What is the address of the wedding ceremony and reception?
The address of the Pittsburgh Opera House is 2425 Liberty Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15222, located in the Strip District. Look for the signage when you arrive! The wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and wedding reception will take place in the same location.
Is there parking available at the venue?
The parking at the venue is reserved for vendors; however, street parking is free past 25th Street and metered parking ends after 6pm. Additionally, we highly recommend the parking locations at the Cork Factory Garage at 2350 Railroad Street and Strip District Public Parking at 2340 Smallman Street.
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
The whole night will be indoors.
Are there hotel blocks reserved for guests?
Yes, there are. Please refer to the "Travel" tab of this website.
What is the dress code of the wedding.

What is the weather like in the area this time of the year?
Pittsburgh weather can be somewhat unpredictable around this time of the year. Based on how the summer is predicted to be, it might still be a little on the warmer side; however, Pittsburgh is one of the cloudiest cities in America, so we're hoping it won't be too hot. The average temperature around the end of August is the high-60s.
Am I allowed to bring a plus-one?
Your invitation should specify if you have been allotted a plus-one.
What type of food will be served?
Cocktail hour will include hors d'oeuvres followed by a buffet-style dinner during the reception along with salad and rolls. Hors d'oeuvres include vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options, and dinner consists of a selection of meat and vegetarian options. Cake will be served after dinner, and coffee service is available throughout the night.
Will there be an open bar?
Yes, there will be an open bar available during the cocktail hour and throughout the rest of the night.
Is there a wedding registry? Will I be able to bring gifts to the wedding?
Yes, there is. Please refer to the "Registry" tab of this website. We will have a card box at the wedding.
What is the wedding day/night itinerary?
The ceremony is scheduled to start at 4:30pm, so plan on getting there around 15-30 minutes beforehand. Cocktail hour will start as soon as the ceremony ends (around 5:00pm) and will last until 6:30pm. The grand entrance will kick off the reception around 6:30pm, and dancing, music, drinks, food, and good times will come to a close at 11:00pm. No after-party is planned, but we'll see where the night takes us!
What is there to do during the wedding weekend?
Feel free to refer to the "Things to Do" tab in this website for recommendations on what to do in Pittsburgh; however, Pittsburgh has really too many things too make an all-encompassing list for, so Google can also be your friend!
Am I allowed to take photos during the wedding ceremony?
The bride and groom-to-be request that phones stay away during the wedding ceremony to make it easier on the photographers. After the wedding ceremony, feel free to take as many pictures as you want to!
Can I post the photos I took during the wedding day on social media?
Really, it's either you do it, or no one will since Patrick and Jess never post anything on social media. Therefore, feel free to post, with your own discretion.
If I have questions, where should I turn to?
Patrick and Jess's parents will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have regarding the wedding day, and they can relay any questions or concerns to the happy couple. If you don't have the parents' contact info (ie, friends of the bride and groom-to-be), feel free to ask your question to Patrick and Jess.
