If you ask Jessica:
After completing my studies, I spent some time asking God to reveal what's next in my life, including an aspect I've long been apprehensive towards - marriage. I received Exodus 1:21 as confirmation that God will build my house and family.
"And it came to pass, because the midwives feared God, that he made them houses." Exodus 1:21
Fast forward a month, I was introduced to Vijay (virtually) and waited on the Lord to know if he was the right person for me. After 4 months, I received 2 Kings 10:15-16.
"... Is thine heart right, as my heart is with thy heart? And Jehonadab answered, It is. If it be, give me thine hand. And he gave him his hand; and he took him up to him into the chariot. And he said, Come with me, and see my zeal for the Lord. So they made him ride in his chariot." 2 Kings 10:15-16
When I asked him the same question, he said YES! :)
I am thrilled to spend life with him and look forward to the amazing things God has in store for us.
If you ask Vijay:
After my sister dropped the marriage proposal in my lap, I didn't exactly have words - I needed a moment to process (and pray!). I told her, "Let me pray about it and I'll get back to you." The very next day, I felt a deep sense of peace about moving forward. So, that was my "yes" moment.
Now, the adventure really began when I tried to reach out to Jessica. My first two calls? Straight to voicemail. But, third time's the charm - Jessica finally called me back, and from there, things fell into place.
"And it came to pass, that, while they communed together and reasoned, Jesus himself drew near, and went with them." Luke 24:15
