Q + A
Questions about the trip?
we're here to help.
Are there other places to stay near the wedding resort?
Yes! Here's another option, but you can always book your own stay wherever you'd like.
- Nandel Beach Resort Playa Jobo, La Cruz, Guanacaste
When should I arrive?
The ceremony will be on Sunday, 10/27/24, but we'd love to see you there beforehand. We suggest coming by Friday, 10/25/24, to enjoy the beach and hang out.
What's the weather going to be like?
October in Costa Rica is the end of their "rainy season". This is surprisingly one of the best times to visit if you want to see the foliage and scenery at it's greenest. Temperatures are between 88 to 75 degrees on average in October.
What airport do I fly in to?
Liberia International Airport (3 1/2 hour round trip flight from Houston)
How do I get to the resort from the airport?
We'll be providing more information on booking our transportation from the airport to the hotel. We've got you covered!
The drive is about 1 1/2 hours, and it's a beautiful, scenic route the whole way.
What's the wedding dress code?
It's a "beach semi-formal" dress code.
Search in google for "The Knot What to Wear to a Beach Wedding as a Guest, From Formal to Casual" for a great guide if you're stumped.
Ultimately, we'd just like everyone to enjoy themselves!
Will Mia be there?
One of our most asked questions. And sadly, no. She will be at home spending most of her days sleeping and occasionally barking at neighbors with her big, hairy brothers Hazel and Goose.
Do I need a passport?
Yes. Yes, you do.
Why on earth did you pick Costa Rica?!
Great question. Matt & Jessica have been talking about Costa Rica since they met. Jessica works in the wedding industry, and it's damn near impossible to find a venue or location she hasn't worked at in the greater Houston area already. Plus, Matt needed a vacay big time. Costa Rica felt like a great way to have fun with everyone we love and make a trip out of it. Oh, and the mangos are worth the trip.
