Our Love Story

Throughout the years many a friend are made. Fun times are shared, flirtatious glances exchanged and moments that will never be forgotten remain a timeless detail in a bustling life. Thankfully these experiences will never cease because Kyle and Jessica found each other at just.. the right.. time. Jessica and Kyle met each other through a wonderful group of friends born out of community college and regular "Lake house" excursions. Though always friendly with each other and innocent flirting here and there nothing initially sparked aside from just friendship. As fate would have it that would change one summer when Kyle came to find that Jessica was an all-encompassing joy to be around, even more than he'd already knew. As the summer waned on and fall grew near both Jessica and Kyle found themselves making time to hang out with each other a regular habit and interest flourished and feelings were developing for one another. The parents and siblings of each seemed to catch on quicker than the couple, that this wasn't just another relationship and Jessica and Kyle quickly became a regular part of each other's family. Within 8 months of hanging out, dating was made official but the relationship journey was just about to kick off a whole new adventure. Six months into dating Jessica moves to the Netherlands to be an Au-pair and briefly tried to break up with Kyle before her Dutch adventures even began but Kyle wasn't having any of it. Jessica was the initiator of the first "I Love You" moments after the attempted breakup and it was quickly reciprocated by Kyle. Both knew that this was going to take some work and it was no easy road ahead but both agreed that their feelings for each other were worth taking the risk and diving headfirst into an incredible journey between them that had only just begun.

Lo and behold maintaining the relationship across the globe was a ride with its ups and downs but overall a ride very much worth it. Post Europe ventures sent Jessica back to school for 5 years where she has now officially graduated with a Doctorate in hand. Kyle and Jessica have been living together for what will be going on 4 years now with a big move in the middle from Irvine to San Jose to finish the latter part of her required Doctorate experience but the move did not happen before Kyle decided to ask one very important question. On an overcast morning of July 16th, 2022 under the guise that the mother of the bride, Katie, wished to take Christmas card photos at the beach with all of her children and grandchildren present Kyle pulled a fast one on a sleepy Jessica. He managed to pull off a surprise proposal with Jessica's immediate family and his as well. Now with a big move up to northern California after the proposal, both decided that a wedding up here would be too wonderful of an opportunity to pass up thus inviting all their family and friends to celebrate their marriage up in the Bay Area and elated to have everyone together to share in such a momentous occasion.

We are beyond thrilled that each of you will be coming in to celebrate our marriage! Since many of you will be flying in for the weekend, we want to invite everyone who is in town on Friday night to join us on a pub crawl. We encourage anyone looking to mingle with guests and have drinks with the bride &amp; groom to arrive at The Lounge in downtown Brentwood. Feel free to join at any time in the night! PUB CRAWL 1. The Lounge on Oak - 7:30 pm2. Brentwood Craft Beer &amp; Cider - 8:30 pm3. Crown &amp; Crow - 9:30 pm ** Honorable mentions for individuals who choose to party after pub crawl are the Brentwood Emporium (for dancing) and 311 (dive bar that is open late). By this time in the evening, the bride &amp; groom may have to turn in early, but we encourage all our guests to enjoy their time out on the town.

The Lounge on Oaks @ 10:30 am (Sunday) The newlyweds will be going to brunch on Sunday morning to recover from such a fun-filled weekend! The bride's family has chosen to rent out space at The Lounge on Oak (same location as the Friday Pub Crawl) so guests can stop by on their way back home. Whether you choose to say a brief goodbye or stay for a meal, we encourage any guests who would like to see the wedding couple the morning after to join us! While we have a space reserved with a private bartender, the brunch will be BYOB (Buy Your Own Brunch) as this is meant to be an opportunity for those who are already planning to go out for breakfast in the morning to join the newlyweds or spend a little extra time with the Bride &amp; Groom before traveling. RSVP is open but not required, the RSVP is only meant to be a way to inform the newlyweds you plan to see them on Sunday

Every Saturday from 8 am to 12 pm there is a local Farmers' market with various types of food, produce, and crafts vendors in downtown Brentwood. This is a wonderful area to walk around and go window shopping as there are also various local shops in the area.
