Henry and I both attended West ISD from grade school all the way through high school. In 2017, we were paired together for a group project in History class, and that’s when our friendship really began. We would talk often during class, and before long, Henry asked me to junior prom—with a fruit kolache from Czech Stop, and “Prom?” written on the bag. It was sweet and simple. As the school year came to an end and summer began, we started spending more time together outside of school. On May 20, 2018, we officially began dating. Senior year was something special. We had every class together and spent nearly every moment side by side. Late nights and early mornings at Lake Park with our friends became our routine. We shared senior year, senior prom, holidays, and an amazing group of friends. Now, years later, we’re about to share one more thing—our last name.
