Jessica and Diego matched online at the unlikeliest of times...the week of the shutdowns in March 2020. Both assumed that they would lose interest, yet they kept in touch for months. They finally met for their first C*VID-friendly date in July 2020. After some outdoor dates, Diego and Jess knew that they had found something special, and the rest is history.

During a visit to Augustana College (Jess's alma mater) in May 2021, Diego and Jess passed the historic campus bell tower. Augie legend says that you will marry whoever you kiss under the tower. It was then Diego decided this would be where he would propose. And on December 4, 2021 Jess and Diego returned to the bell tower, making Augie a special place for both of them.

Now, two years later since the initial match, Diego and Jessica are planning their wedding together. They're both pretty thankful that in the online dating world where it's all about swiping right, Diego chose to swipe Leff.
