Hit us like a Hurricane

All it took to find the one was prepping and weathering through a traumatic Cat 5 hurricane. We took the Luke Combs song a bit too literally here. We were stuck inside with no power for at least 12 hours, which meant we had some time to really get to know each other. Boy did it lead into some tough conversations; But, looking back, we couldn't have asked for a better time to have reconnected after 10 years of zero contact. You could say we knew each other in high school; had you asked us then if we'd be getting married now, we'd probably laugh in your face! Thank God Cody had some confidence to get things going. We have never felt so lucky and blessed than we do now. Coming together has not only tested our limits but also given us widespread opportunities. It feels like a teenage love story, only with adult responsibilities. With the highs and lows, downfalls and victories, we wouldn't to be anywhere else doing it with anyone else. God truly has a rightful plan and we are so thankful he has chosen us to be together. With the blessing and love from our families, we've made it to this next step in our lives! We are joyfully looking forward to seeing you all on our big day. We are so thankful to have all of you wonderful people in our lives and cannot wait to see what the future holds for us.
