Jessica and Devon met in 2017 when they both made the high school cheer team. They started dating in April of 2018 right before Jessica was about to graduate from high school. Jessica started college in the fall of that year and Devon was still in high school. Devon might not have been Jessica’s high school sweetheart but Jessica was Devon’s. They made time for each other as much as possible during this time when school was an obstacle in their relationship. Devon graduated in 2021 and they moved into their first place together with a couple of roommates in September of 2021. This was a great time for them in their relationship and important growing step. In 2023 they started looking at buying their first home together and what they needed to do to be ready to make this step in their relationship. And in October 2023 they went under contract for their first home! November 15, 2023, Devon buys the ring and starts making plans to propose. New Year’s Eve comes around and Devon has planned a beautiful proposal disguised as a New Year’s party with a few close friends who were are all in on what was going to happen. They decide to keep this a secret as they want to surprise their friends and family at their house warming party with the news of an engagement. In April of 2024 they officially move into their first home together and announce their engagement!
