We met on Facebook of all places! We both were using Facebook dating, and we both had our distance set to 25 miles. Jessi is originally from Louisville, KY and I live in Lebanon, OH... As we all know, that is far from a 25 mile range. Somehow, someway, we matched!

From the moment of matching, we couldn't stop messaging each other, shortly there after the phone calls started and next thing you know it was 5 AM on a work night and we needed to be up for work in just a few hours.

Then, I finally after about a month got the courage to ask her to come visit me for my birthday. She agreed, and I was scared that she wasn't going to show up, but.... SHE DID! She was immediately thrown to the wolves because at my birthday dinner she then met the entirety of my family. As anyone who knows the family, we are crazy and we like it that way.

Shortly thereafter that Jessi came to visit me EVERY weekend until she mentioned that she wanted to move here and live with me. Of course, I was over the moon and so excited to tell everyone in the family. It goes without saying, but everyone was excited because they finally got to see me happy, they loved Jessi. I did too.

A few months after Jessi moved in with me, I was already looking for an engagement ring for a long while and eventually asked her to marry me on a family trip to Gatlinburg! I asked her to marry me while she admired the wind blowing through the trees, the stark mountains in the distance, and I rudely interrupted her to say, "Hey, watch this video I made". Tears in her eyes, and her entire family watching through the window. I knelt to the ground and pulled out a ring and Jessi said, "YES!" I was so excited and called anyone and everyone that I could think of.
