Billy and Jess first met in 2005 through mutual friends. The two always knew of each other and were acquaintances over the years.

Fast forward to 2019, Jess was a bridesmaid in her best friend's wedding and Billy happened to be attending that wedding. She caught his eye at the rehearsal dinner and the two shared a few drinks. They danced the night away at the wedding and the rest is history!

In November 2022 at their Friendsgiving celebration when it came time to tell everyone what he was thankful for, Billy decided to ask the person he was most thankful for to marry him. Of course she said yes.
