Julio and Jessica first met each other under not the most ideal circumstances. While visiting a mutual friend in a hospital, Julio saw Jessica and was instantly taken by her. He didn’t make his move then, for obvious reasons, but he made sure to ask his friend about her.


After that first meeting, Jessica and Julio went about their lives and dated other people. In November of 2017, they found themselves single again. Julio decided to send Jessica a DM on Instagram….which she repeatedly ignored (Hey! She got some bad information!). She finally answered him back… five months later. On March 21, 2018, Julio took Jessica on their first date in Vero Beach at Riverside Cafe, ending the night at Kilwin’s with some ice cream.


Things went well from there on out and Julio asked Jessica to be his girlfriend on April 13, 2018 while they were spending his birthday together. Julio and Jessica both realized that they were falling quickly for each other, as this relationship felt different compared to previous ones they had been in. On May 5, 2018, Julio shared his feelings with Jessica and told her that he loved her for the first time.


Fast forward to 2024! Jessica leaves to go to Michigan for a work trip while Julio goes to the jewelers to find the perfect ring. After the ring was secured, Julio went to Jessica’s parents house to ask her dad for his blessing. Jessica’s dad said they have known that Julio was the one since day one and they have been waiting for this day. Jessica’s mom screamed and hugged Julio when he shared the news. Julio had her parents’ blessing.


Julio planned to propose on July 4th and elicited the help of Jessica’s sister and friends. He planned to propose in Cocoa Village during the fireworks in front of their friends and family. As nighttime came and the fireworks began, Jessica and Julio watched the show as their friends lit the sparklers. When Jessica was handed a sparkler, Julio got down on one knee. She turned back to him and was shocked. Julio told her that he loved her very much. Unfortunately, Jessica never heard him ask her to marry him 😂. She stood there waiting, thinking he got nervous and forgot. She finally said yes!


Despite their unconventional first meeting and delayed start to their relationship, Jessica and Julio are beyond excited to spend the rest of their lives together. They cannot wait to start this next chapter and celebrate with their family and friends!
