These crazy kids met in October of 2022. Jessica came in to be interviewed at Imagine School of Land O' Lakes for an open position, aka as Matthew's teaching partner (oh, and Matthew sat in on her interview). She was hired shortly after. Jessica began officially working in January, following Christmas break. They would spend time together at school, setting up Jessica's classroom and helping her get comfortable in her new job. Gradually they would spend some time together outside of school and slowly but surely, some interest began between them.

Jessica noticed that Matthew really enjoyed serving others with his time and efforts. She also admired that he intentionally nurtured authentic relationships with those around him. Students, their parents, coworkers, and friends. Matthew noticed that Jessica had a very kind and caring heart. He also admired her intentionality and honesty. Attraction began to form for one another's gifts from God, though they did not date until a few months later, at the start of summer.

Their relationship officially began on a warm summer day, on a local farm. Matthew picked flowers and made a bouquet and then he gave them to Jessica and asked her to be his girlfriend. That day they embarked on a journey in which they have always strived to put God first in. It is because of Jesus and His hands at work that Matthew and Jessica met. Over this last year, yes it has already been a year for them, they have grown in their love for one another and for their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

In May of 2024, Matthew proposed to Jessica in front of the majority of the school at a school assembly, on the morning of their 11 month anniversary. (It was a surprise, but don't be mistaken! She was on to him from the moment she woke up that day!) Surrounded by friends and students, Jessica joyfully said yes. That is what brings you to this site. They have invited you here to celebrate in this joyous occasion with them and hope you can be there on that very special day.

Jessica and Matthew believe the marriage they are stepping into is an undeserved gift from God. They are so grateful and blessed for the work that God has done in their individual lives and in their relationship. Matthew and Jessica hope their relationship reflects Christ's love for His people.
