Our story started 17 years ago. Jessi was leaning against the tree in her front yard, her nose in a book (of course) and here walks Thomas with the neighbor boy.
"What do you want?" Jessi rudely demands. (Dripping with romance, I know.)
"Wanna play football?" Thomas replied, unfazed.
Fast forward 13 years, Jessi is still rude, and Thomas is still unfazed. She's in town visiting from New Zealand and messages her old friend Thomas to catch up and see if he wants to skate at the park. They decide to go to the movies. He dresses up.
"Uh-oh." Jessi thinks, "Is this a date?" Thomas opens the door for her smelling like cologne. Then proceeds to insist on purchasing her ticket. "Yup. It's a date." After the movie, he starts to drive her home but at the red light he suddenly turns to her with a big grin on his face and asks, "Do you want to go home, or do you want to go on an adventure?" The perfect choice of words. That little adventure has led them to so many more.
