Our Wedding

Our story began January 28, 2020, a day we now celebrate as “box day”. I ordered a new bookshelf from Walmart and it was delivered to the front of my house. The box was much heavier, and bigger than I expected it to be. With fear of having my package getting stolen, I did what anyone else would do: call the nice tall guy from church to help.He helped me move my box from the front porch to the other entrance of the house. I thanked him and we began talking. Five minutes became thirty minutes and quickly became an three hours. I went upstairs thinking how unexpected but nice that conversation was. The rest is history! We made it official on July 28, 2020 and have been inseparable ever since. On August 27, 2023 he popped the question… “Will you marry me?” The sunset that day was a paid actor with gorgeous hues of blush pink, gold and blue. The Tappan Zee bridge lit up to the most beautiful shade of pink and matched both my dress and his shirt. We had our closest friends cheer us on and we celebrated after with a nice dinner. It has been the craziest of journeys. We began dating two months before the pandemic lockdown. In the past four years we lost a few loved ones, jobs and had many of our plans rewritten. What did not change was our love for God and for each other. We also celebrated many victories and milestones together! Many of you reading this were a part of this story. Now, we celebrate a new chapter, one of the most unforgettable days of our life. The day we say “I do” and have our very own happily ever after.

Sabrina and I go way back! She has been my childhood best friend and sister from another mister for over 20 years! Sabrina lives in Brazil and no matter how long we are apart, the moment we meet is like time never went by.
Sabrina is smart, caring, and Beyonce's biggest fan. 

Fun fact about Sabrina, our grandmothers were besties too! I remember my grandma didn't know anyone's number by heart except for Sabrina's grandma's house phone.

Bia and I met at a church cell group a few years ago. We initially bonded over living abroad away from our families. Now she is one of my closest friends. She is kind, observant and an amazing dancer. Fun fact about Bia, she was friends with my fiancée before she was friends with me!

Brenda and I were introduced shortly after I started going to Fountain for the Nations Church and the rest is history. I was Brenda’s bridesmaid back in 2021. We have celebrated many accomplishments since then. She is bubbly, loud and is on the road to becoming the best Physician Assistant out there. Fun fact about Brenda, I went to school with her husband, Stanley!

Ester is my iconic cousin. She is one of my biggest cheerleaders and is so sweet. She is on the road to get her law degree and is the most fashionable woman I know! Ester is smart, creative and loving. Fun fact about Ester, her mom helped raise me and we used to fight over her mom’s love growing up hahaha

Sabrina and I met six years ago at church and began developing a beautiful friendship from there. She is creative, witty and an amazing worship leader. Fun facts about Sabrina, she took our engagement photos, is also getting married this year and I am her maid-of-honor!

Yazmine and I are cousins! We lived together for a few months and became sisters. She is my Sourpatch Kid, no matter how hard she tries to hide it, she has a super sweet side! She is funny, wild and loving. Fun fact about Yazmine, our mom’s are related on both sides! Our grandma’s were sisters and our grandpa’s were brothers.
