Our Wedding

Growing up in the same small town, Luke and Jessica's families have been close since 2005. Even though they both had mutual friends and their paths crossed many times, after graduating from high school they went very different ways. 𓃟 Luke was involved with the farming community and lived in Chico, California while pursuing his degree in Agricultural Business.✈ Jessica moved halfway across the globe to live in Dubai to be a flight attendant. By 2016, they had both returned back to Dixon, but were not reacquainted until a few years later when a mutual friend invited Luke to join their weekly BINGO game. Hanging out and catching up over BINGO led to Luke and Jessica's first date. Their first date went so well that they couldn't wait to find out more about each other! They continued to see each other almost every day even over FaceTime while Jessica was flying. As their relationship grew, it became obvious that they had found something special. Luke and Jessica loved getting to know one another and some of their favorite memories include: flying to Nashville for New Years, catching covid and "quarantining" together, hosting a memorable 4th of July party, and the many road trips to Nevada. Jessica and Luke are thankful that God brought them together in His perfect timing and are excited to spend the rest of their lives together!

Katie is Jessica's identical twin sister. They are partners in crime and best friends! If you know Katie, you know she is the older twin,  competitive (but in a fun way), a leftie, and the life of the party. Katie currently lives in Dixon, CA with her husband and 3 kids.

Shannon is the oldest Morse sibling. Growing up, she was the ring leader, music video director, and designated family planner. She later became Jessica's first room mate after moving out and they made some pretty epic memories on their trips to Ireland and London. She currently lives in Oklahoma with her family,  Chester the dog ,and Pete the cat!

Jessica met this Alabama girl in Dubai during her first few weeks after joining Emirates as a flight attendant. After capturing stray cats in Dubai and singing Disney songs in the Hong Kong metro,  it became obvious they'd be BFFs for life. Chelsea is a teacher, knows three languages, and is currently living in a small town in Germany.

Renee was Jessica's first friend after moving overseas to Dubai. They have gotten lost while road tripping to Oman, experienced a mob during NY in Dubai, and spent one Christmas running through Central Park in their red onesies (see picture)! Renee has this southern charm that is irresistible and a gift to turn any situation into a positive one! Everyone should have a "Renee" in their life! Renee is a proud mom to Finley and currently lives in South Carolina.

This 6’ Santa Rosa beauty was Jessica's roommate in Dubai. Jessica's favorite memories with Kimmy include: drinking champagne at the Dubai Horse Races,  Oktoberfest in Munich, visiting the Monkeys in Japan, and almost dying in Uganda. Most importantly though, she taught Jessica how to enjoy the finer things in life. Kimmy is living in Santa Rosa, CA with her husband Erik, and dog Tito.

Ashleigh is Luke's younger sister, business owner and can turn any situation into a fun one! She currently lives in Nashville running her successful salon and Jessica loves it when work takes her to Music City. She is spunky, confident, and a true friend- she will even sleep on a hallway floor ;)

Yes - this is the 2nd "Katy" in Jessica's life! Katy is married to Jessica's brother Ricky and is a style EXPERT. You can spot her with the classiest outfit and cutest handbag! Jessica and Katy recently became close during the many work trips Jessica has had to Arizona. Katy is the best dog/cat mom, advice giver, and loyal friend! She lives with Ricky (also fellow groomsman!) in Phoenix, AZ.

Joanna is Luke's younger sister and a cowboys dreaaam! She has wrangled herself an office manager job at a horse breeding ranch in Texas and is a new pup mom to Opie! She is the best painter pal and helped Jessica feel a part of the family when she was  first getting to know the Benton clan.

Lizzy is Lukes younger sister and the best adventure guide and fisherwoman ever! She taught Jessica all she knows about fishing, jackalopes, and hopefully soon: axe throwing! Lizzy lives with her husband and dog in Minden, NV.

Avery is Jessica's niece and daughter to Katie, the Matron of Honor. Avery has many talents; she is ring leader of all the cousins,  can build anything as long as it has directions, she loves cats and foxes, and can make the best chocolate chip cookies ever! Avery lives with her family in Dixon, CA.

GROOMSMEN

Walker and Luke met right after college when they became roommates and started working at the same company together. They became close friends and remain so to this day. They’ve grown up in their careers together and there isn’t a week that goes by where they aren’t found having long phone calls and either venting or laughing about some crazy situation that happened on the job or in life. Walker is a great friend to Luke and is always there to talk or just listen. Walker lives in Woodland, California and works for the same company as Luke.

Nick and Luke have known each other since their college days. They met when they worked together at the same store and became friends attending Chico State during Nick’s last semester. Whether they’ve been there to help each other in hauling horses to safety during the big California rainstorms of 2016-2017, or just talking through situations in life, there will be good times had by all. One of Luke’s favorite memories was being able to be at the hospital the day Nick’s wife,  Kim gave birth to their son Nico. Luke appreciates the loyal friend that Nick has been, and he looks forward to many fun times in the future. Nick lives in Redmond, Oregon and works in the same agricultural industry as Luke.

Noah and Luke have known each other since they were little kids. They’ve had many memories together over the years. From backpacking trips in middle school to surviving a car crash there’s been a lot of adventures. Noah and Luke have gone through pretty much every season of life together and Noah is as solid as they come. Luke appreciates Noah’s steadiness and Godly character. Noah currently lives in Woodland, California and works in the agricultural water management field.

Josh and Luke became friends over the last five years after Luke started attending the same church where Josh grew up. They bonded over their love of country music and long conversations about geopolitical and historical events. One of Luke’s fondest memories was a road trip to four national parks in five days back in 2019. From learning the Russian alphabet to seeing the Grand Canyon for the first time, Luke looks back on that experience with a grin. Although the don’t get to hangout as often as they used to, Josh and Luke keep in touch and are always scheming of ways to see the newest up and coming Texas country band when they come to town. Josh lives in the Fort Worth area of Texas right now attending medical school.

Jacob and Luke became friends during college in Chico. From day one Jacob and Luke went fishing and hunting together and there were many evenings spent pouring over Google Earth, mapping out potential deer hunting spots. Fast forward to after college, Jacob and Luke spent days fishing on the Delta and hanging out with Jacob’s family. Jacob moved out to Colorado several years ago and there still might be an unbroken record of three-hour plus phone calls talking about politics, wildlife conservation and picking the right deer hunting zones. Luke appreciates Jacob’s loyal friendship and staying in touch even while living several states away. Jacob lives in Greeley, Colorado and works in the welding and fabrication industry.

Back when they went to Chico State together Will and Luke met on a city league baseball team that he was putting together with a group of guys in the College of Agriculture. Since those college days Will introduced Luke to duck hunting and they’ve been hitting the rice fields ever since. To this day Will is also great about inviting Luke’s younger brothers to hunt whenever possible. Luke appreciates Will’s commitment to staying in touch even when their busy work lives seem to get in the way during the summer months. Will lives in Woodland, California and works in the greater Sacramento Valley area in the retail agriculture industry.

Luke met Nick when he started working for Wilbur Ellis Company after graduating college. Nick was and still is a mentor to Luke and along the way they have become good friends. Luke will always appreciate Nick’s selflessness, helping him develop his career into what it is today. One of Luke’s favorite memories was a fly-fishing trip to Montana they went on last year. Nick is a great friend to Luke, and during the busy summer months in the agricultural industry it is a giant plus to have a good friend and coworker to get through it. Nick lives in Vacaville, California and works for the same company as Luke.

Ricky and Luke have been friends since middle school. Their love of baseball and the 49ers were favorite topics. One of Luke’s favorite memories was the annual Thanksgiving “Turkey Bowl” football game that Ricky’s church put on each year at the local park in Dixon. The Morse and Benton families were close and spent a lot of time in the same circles throughout those years, and during that time Luke developed a crush on Ricky’s older sister Jessica. Ricky must have had a sixth sense about that because about three years ago he tried to set Luke and Jessica up, but it wasn’t until a year later that Luke and Jess got reacquainted at a bingo night in Winters. The rest is history as they say. Luke and Ricky have remained close and Luke is excited to get him as a new brother in law! Ricky lives in Phoenix, Arizona and works in the financial analytics field.

Elias is the first of Luke’s younger brothers. After three sisters Luke was so excited to FINALLY get a brother! It has been so much fun for Luke to be a part of everything; from helping Elias hunt his first rabbit to watching his first Little League hit. As the years have gone by Luke and Elias have had many fun adventures and Luke is excited for future hunting trips and family vacations. Luke has loved being a brother to Elias and getting closer as they’ve grown older. He is honored to have him stand next to him on his wedding day. Elias currently lives in Gardnerville, Nevada and will be attending college at Grand Canyon University in Arizona this fall.

Luke was lucky and got a second brother in a row! Justice came along and the three amigos did everything together. Some of Luke’s favorite memories were summer nights at the Little League fields in Dixon watching Justice play ball. Then it moved to mornings in the duck blind, hitting way more birds than Luke ever could. Luke loved growing up with Justice and as the years have gone by, have become close friends. Luke is honored to have Justice stand next to him on his wedding day. Justice lives in Gardnerville, Nevada and will start college in the fall.

When Matthias came along that made it three brothers in a row! Luke was 18 when Matthias was born and after Luke moved away to college several years later it was crazy how much Matthias seemed to grow during those month-long gaps when Luke came home to visit. Some of Luke’s favorite memories were stalking around their parents’ backyard “hunting” big game animals with Matthias, armed to the teeth with the seemingly endless supply of toy rifles and pistols at their disposal. As the years have gone by Luke has been proud to see the fine young man that Matthias has become. Matthias lives with Luke’s parents in Gardnerville, Nevada and is a great help on the farm with his dog Winnie by his side.
