We definitely had a slow start to things. After meeting and hanging out several times in group settings. Jess invited Rob on a ski trip with friends/ family in hopes to further their connection. However, Rob didn't pick up on it.

Jess decided that she wanted a kitten and ended up bringing home two of them instead of just one. Meet Gizmo and Ozzie!

After many more group hangs, Rob decided to invite Jess on a ski weekend with a few other couples and she thought, "This is finally it". Again, slow and steady. Nothing was said by either of us.

Rob invited Jess over to his apartment in Southie for a St. Paddy's day party. Jess attended and was happy to welcome those passing by in the parade to come and join the party as well. With a little encouragement from a mutual friend we both FINALLY told each other how we felt by the end of the party.

After many month of us being together, Rob officially asked Jess out by inviting her to a Christmas party and introducing her by saying "This is my girlfriend".

After a slow but steady start we sort of hit the ground running after that. We bought a split level home together in Andover during the pandemic, despite the fact that "No Splits!" was Jess' only restriction.

We quickly welcomed a new dog into our new home! Barkley joined our family. We were pumped, Gizmo and Ozzie not so much!

After many adventures, home improvement projects, and traveling over the years together, we were happy to find out that we would be welcoming our first human child a.k.a. Marshmallow (Jess let her students name the baby) into our family!

Because a new baby with three fur babies in the house wasn't enough. Jess thought we should get a puppy. So we welcomed Pepper into our growing family.

On our anniversary, Rob surprised Jess by proposing to her. The story is sometimes told that he put the ring on a plate of chicken nuggets, other times it's with a box of chocolate covered strawberries. You can decide which version you like best!

A few weeks earlier then expected our beautiful baby girl, Ella Jordan Grant decided it was time to officially join us!
