Our Story

It all started with a girls' weekend in Kansas City. Jessica had flown out to visit her best friend, Melissa who had moved to Kansas for work. Melissa was Carlos's boss. When Carlos and Jessica first met, she was living in Greenville, SC and he was living in Shawnee, KS. They dated long distance for nearly two years before Jessica moved out to Kansas in November of 2018. Five years from that first girls' weekend, Carlos made one of the better decisions in his life :). With an elaborate plan to fake family portraits one Christmas, he got down on one knee on December 29, 2021 at Jessica's family home in Yadkinville and asked her to marry him.

Jessica moved to Kansas in the fall of 2018 and we snapped our first picture together at Gram & Dunn, where four years later Jessica would cheers with her mom and sister after finding her wedding dress!

COVID didn't stop us from traveling... we just had to keep the vacations closer by. After a 6 miles hike in Estes Park, we were rewarded with a beautiful view.
