Dan and Jess met on a dating website in January 2021. They started talking, and could not stop. Due to the wonderful Covid, they decided to meet in person at the Barrington Arboretum in February. They walked and talked for over 4 miles in the snow and cold, stopping at one point for a Hot Chocolate. (Which has become a typical treat for them even now). Once their toes were frozen, they chatted in Dan’s truck for another couple hours, until it was time to say goodnight. Which is where the infamous “I kissed the crap out of her” (which Dan said to his family after that night) came to be. Keep an eye out for that line during our ceremony. On February 28, 2021 they started dating.
Fast forward 3 months on a trip up to a waterfall in the Upper Peninsula is where “I Love you” was first said, come to find out was almost said multiple times before. With feelings for each other getting stronger than ever, they started prepping Dan’s house for Jess to move in which she did in January 2022.
December 26, 2022, while at the Brookfield Zoo Lights, and Jess not knowing what was about to happen. Dan got down on one knee in the tunnel of lights and asked Jess to marry him and of course she said YES! And here we are getting closer and closer to when they can say “I DO”.
