My name is Aaron Foster and this is our story. In August of 2022 I went to the nation of Jordan on AIM (Associates in Missions). I came to Jordan to help in the Church there, and it was at the Church that I first met Jessica. At the first part of my term in Jordan I was actually first neighbors with Jessica and her family and they helped me so much as I tried to assimilate into a new culture. They would help me translate in the store, take me to the Church services, and even invite me to eat dinner with them from time to time.
Jessica and her family did so much to make feel welcomed that I quickly began to love them and they became like my family. I admired their commitment to God and throughly enjoyed my time with them.
Me and Jessica had a lot of time to get to know one another and we quickly became friends. Our friendship kindled into something more the longer I stayed in Jordan. We both had great desire to do something for the Kingdom of God and became apparent that our life goals truly aligned. In 2023 we began to date and by the end of my year in Jordan I knew that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with Jessica. I proposed to Jessica before leaving Jordan and after deciding to stay in the States we applied for a K1 visa for her to come. God gave us amazing favor and I am excited beyond words to marry the love of my life!
I’m so blessed to have found my island girl in a desert!
