On June 10th, 2023, Jessie traveled from Florida and Cody traveled across the states to be there for their friends’ surprise engagement. The day of the engagement, Cody and Jessie met, instantly clicked, and talked every single day after.

In August of 2023, Cody flew Jessie up to Kentucky and surprised her with a weekend full of birthday surprises. On August 19th, Cody asked Jessie to officially be his girlfriend.

8.19.2023

In August of 2024, Cody and Jessie took a trip to Montana. On a hike called Suce Trail, Cody proposed to Jessie. At the end of the trail, Cody stopped and had Jessie look out through binoculars to view the mountains ahead. When Jessie put the binoculars down and turned around, Cody was behind her, down on one knee proposing. Jessie had requested something privately and intimate - Cody delivered perfectly.

Land Between the Lakes offers plenty of options to choose from including cabins, cottages, Airbnb's, VRBO's, camping (if you want to get crazy!) etc. If you choose to go this route instead of the traditional hotel, Jes and Cody recommend staying at Fish Island Resort (13 min drive) and Lake Barkley Resort State Park (11 min drive).

LBL Cabins and Airbnbs

This is not a hotel block! We know Julie through a friend who has a few rental opportunities in town.The two ranchers on the site are next to each other, have a fenced in yard, and are pet friendly.

Aldrich Guest Retreats

Price depends on room type booked - there are double rooms, king rooms, cabins/cottages, and suites to choose from.Pets are allowed for an extra charge.Expires September 27th or at max capacity.25 minute drive from the venue.

Kenlake State Resort Park

Hotel Accommodations - Book ASAP!

Due to limited spacing, we are asking guests to park at the church down the street and utilize our shuttle system to the farm. If you are unable to drive home after the event, your car does have to be gone by Sunday morning at 8am for church. We will have our own personal “Ubers” to drive you home if necessary. Church address is 45 Floyd Sumner Road, Cadiz, Kentucky 42211. With this in mind, we ask you to plan accordingly and allow yourself plenty of time to get to the party between 5 and 5:30pm. *If you have specific medical needs and would like to park at the farm, please let Jessie and Cody know so they can hold a spot for you.
