Itinerary

We plan on arriving into Madrid July 4th and spending the night on the city. On the July 5th we will pick up our rental vehicle (a passenger van) and drive to Pamplona. We will check into our Airbnb and get settled. (Anyone is welcome to ride with us to Pamplona if they wish but spots will be limited considering luggage) or there is the local airport and a train station that arrives directly into the town center. We are in the process of narrowing down airbnbs that will be appropriate for our group so the earliest you can let us know a definite yes or no for this part of the trip will help us tremendously so that we ensure we availability for everyone. (Please take note that most of the homes DO NOT have air conditioning and with the time frame of our trip it may be WARM, however, all of the homes we are looking into are built of stone and stay nice and cool but and will definitely will ensure a comfortable stay as you enjoy the gorgeous surroundings and a true Spanish experience). If you are not wishing to stay at the Airbnb and would like to book your own accommodations book early as this festival is the main attraction of the area for the entire year and all hotels book up quickly!!! The opening ceremonies of the San Fermin festival begins July 6th at noon. We will be available for transport to and from the local airport and train station on the 5th and early July 6 before the ceremonies. If you do not think you will be joining us for the San Fermin festival and are planning on arriving for the wedding we will be traveling from Pamplona arriving into San Sebastián on July 9th. We have a block of rooms reserved at Hotel Atari with check in available on the 9th. Hotel Atari is a boutique hotel in Old Town San Sebastián. Basque Country is known for its food and wine and San Sebastián is the hub. From the mom and pop place around the corner to the Michelin star awarded restaurants you will not be disappointed (consider packing your stretchy waist pants). On July 10 there will be an outing planned for the group with sightseeing tour and a luncheon overlooking a vineyard. That evening we will feast on a welcome dinner for what we would consider our rehearsal dinner. Thursday July 11 y’all are on your own for breakfast and lunch and we will see you at our venue (tbd) at the scheduled time (tbd). The following day we will have a farewell brunch.
