Jess is the most loving, joyful, and caring person I have ever met in my life. From the moment Jess and I started dating, I knew it would result in us getting married and spending the rest of our lives together. From my perspective, here’s how the night went down when I asked Jess to make me the happiest person in the world and marry me.

After purchasing the ring in December back in Cincinnati and having it shipped to me – which took longer than expected but that’s a story for another time (it got lost in the mail), I had to hide it for 4 months before I could pop the question. I had asked one of Jess’ best friends, Alex Patti, to help me surprise her with the engagement on May 12th. Jess has a special talent of being able to sniff out surprises so I knew I had to have Alex come up with a situation where Jess wouldn’t be suspecting a proposal. Alex invited Jess to go to dinner with her and her family up in Alpharetta. I told Jess I was going golfing, so on my way to Alpharetta, I drove to the golf course and turned off my ‘Find My Friends’ location so it would look like I was there.

I knew it would be special to have both of our families there, so I arranged my parents and Jess’ parents to both write letters to her and read them before Jess saw me. After going through the plan of how I was going to propose at 6PM, we got into our positions and checked Jess’ location to see where she was. After checking her location, my nerves turned into laughter as she was 45 minutes late to her own proposal. When Jess showed up to “meet Alex for dinner,” she immediately saw both my parents and hers and knew what was happening. I’ll never forget the smile on her face when she came around the corner to where I was, and I asked her to marry me. After many hugs & tears, we were finally engaged, and we couldn’t contain our excitement.

Everyone who’s reading this story knows the kind of person Jessica is and why she is so perfect. She’s so easy to love and I can’t wait to be able to call her my wife. We’re looking forward to being able to celebrate with everyone on August 3rd and love you all dearly.
