Josh and Jessica’s story began on April 6th, 2024, at their best friends' engagement party. Their friends had tried to set them up for two years but the timing was never right. When those same friends got engaged, fate finally intervened and their paths crossed when they were both invited to the engagement party. Jessica and Josh remember exactly where they were standing when they first locked eyes and both recalled a feeling of familiarity and butterflies. Yet, they played it cool for the next two hours conversing with their friend groups, until Jessica broke the silence and said hello. What followed was a night full of conversation and laughter that stretched until 5 a.m. as they discovered the vast amount of things they had in common from music taste, television shows, and most importantly their shared sense of humor. After that night, a first date was already scheduled for a couple days later.

After that first date, they became inseparable. Their love was clear from day one, and exactly two weeks after meeting, they were already saying "I love you". Josh was living in Sarasota and Jessica in St. Petersburg, but the distance didn’t matter. They still managed to spend nearly every day together, making frequent commutes, until it became clear that moving in together was the next step.

Jessica finally got to meet Layla, Josh's daughter, and they immediately bonded over Taylor Swift, makeup, and cats. The three of them spent the entire summer enjoying beach sunsets, spending time with family, and even practicing makeup techniques on dad.

As they settled into their life together, it became increasingly clear how well they fit as a family of three. Living together was effortless, and their bond grew stronger with each passing day. The idea of a future together came naturally, and soon, discussions of engagement and marriage turned into exciting plans. Josh proposed to Jessica against a breathtaking autumn mountain backdrop in Stowe, Vermont, on October 11th, 2024, and she joyfully shouted "YES!" before he could even finish asking.

Now, they’re excited to return to the town where their happily ever after began, almost exactly one year later, this time with the people who mean the most to them, as they celebrate the next beautiful chapter of their love story.
