FAQ
Have a question?

Please feel free to text or e-mail Noah or Jessica with questions. We will put the most frequently-asked questions (and their answers) here!

What's the dress code?

Great question! If we go by the attire classifications on this website, you should aim for something in the Semi-Formal/Dressy Casual/Festive range. The most important consideration, though, is that you are comfortable and able to party!

Also: please be advised that the ceremony and cocktail hour will be held on grass so shoes with a pointy heel are not recommended.

Do you have a registry?

We have listed some options for gifts at the link above (or click here). But the only gift we truly want from you is your presence!

Are Children Invited?

While we love children (especially yours!), we are having an adults-only (21+) wedding and reception. The only children attending are those who are part of our wedding party.

Things to do
What is there to do in the Mad River Valley?

The Waitsfield/Warren area may be rural, but there is plenty to keep you occupied before and after our wedding!

The Mad River Valley chamber of commerce offers options for all tastes. The nature up here is spectacular, and if the weather is nice we highly encourage you to spend some time outdoors, perhaps hiking or swimming or just eating/drinking on a lawn or patio. If you go off into the woods, don't forget to do a tick check on your return!

In addition, we have spent a little time in and near Waitsfield, and we can heartily recommend the following places to eat/drink:

For breakfast/coffee on a nice day: The Sweet Spot. Cute little cafe by the river, overlooking the covered bridge. Just down the block is an adorable Artisan's Gallery that we love to browse.

For a heartier breakfast: hit up Toast and Eggs.

For beer lovers: Do not miss Lawson's Finest Liquids Tasting Room! Very nice, spacious tasting room with indoor and outdoor seating. Small food plates (try the salad or the local cheese plate!), beers, and a few options for those who don't like or can't drink beer.

For those who want to sample the (delicious) local cheese, meat, beer or cider (on site or to go): definitely check out the Mad River Taste Place.

For a low-key but delicious dinner: Hyde Away Restaurant. We highly recommend the chicken entree and the grilled cheese sandwich. Gluten free bread is even available! Skip the cocktails but try the local beer and cider!

For super yummy pizza and salad: American Flatbread. Yes, this is a small chain, and you may have visited the locations in Somerville, Salem or elsewhere. But this is the original! You can order ahead or on site; seating is available indoors and out and is offered on a first-come first-serve basis.

For a fancier dinner: we have very much enjoy the Pitcher Inn. Reservations are recommended.

Ben & Jerry's Factory (Waterbury)

Cabot Cheese Farm Store (Waterbury)

Cold Hollow Cider Mill (Waterbury)

Prohibition Pig Brewery & Restaurant (Waterbury)

Alchemist Brewery (Stowe)

July 4th!
2022 Warren 4th of July Parade and Festivities

If you are extending your stay through Monday, you may want to consider attending the 4th of July Parade in Warren, VT. We have been told by locals that it is super fun, and also that Bernie Sanders may show up!

The parade starts at 10am sharp, and we plan to be at the Warren Public Library at 9:30 a.m to meet all those who want to attend. The library is about a ΒΌ mile walk up Main Street from the shuttle drop off at Covered Bridge Road.

Do let us know if you'll be coming, so we don't miss you!
