They met in Brian B. Wallace's English II class at SIUE. It was James's first ever college class and the beginning of Jessica's Sophomore year. We sat by each other the entire semester and became friends.

We went to a driving range in Edwardsville for our first date, we then got food at our favorite Mexican restaurant El Maguey.

We started dating on July 13th, 2020 two years after we met. James asked me by cooking a meal for the both of us privately at home.

Since our first date we have grown together as a couple, friends, and family. We have a dog together named Princess Leia that we adopted from a humane society, we rent a house in Marissa, go to the gym, and cherish the time that we spend together.

James proposed in Aruba on the beach surrounded by family. He told everyone to where anything other than white, but coincidentally everyone wore blue besides us which some what gave it away.

Now we are starting the next chapter of our lives as a married couple. We are beyond excited to begin this next stage and see what life has in store for us.
