Houston Hobby Airport (HOU)

Main airline here is Southwest, along with American, Delta, Allegiant, Frontier and Avelo.
Unfortunately, the hotels do not offer shuttles to/from the airports. Houston also does not have a good public transport system that goes out to the airports. Your best bet is to rent a car - major hubs available at both airports (especially if you will be exploring outside of downtown), or Ubers/Lyfts (rideshare).
Another option is a rideshare service called Alto. This is is a higher-scale service that offers nicer SUVs with professional drivers. https://ridealto.com/houston
Houston METROrail
In downtown and the immediate area, there is a Light rail system, the METRO. This goes to downtown destinations, along with a nearby park (Hermann Park), the museum district, and NRG Stadium where the rodeo is. This is a typically free service, even if they advertise having to pay for rides.
This isn't a "glamorous" mode of transport, but it can be convenient for those areas!

Houston Traffic
We LOVE our city of Houston, but please be aware that our traffic can be a bit much! With any of these places listed, it's highly recommended to check Waze or Google Maps before heading out to see what your actual travel time will be. During rush hour, it can take up to 30-40 mins longer to arrive somewhere going on a major highway. So, planning ahead will help :)
