We met a few weeks before the Covid-19 lockdown, which we initially thought would be just an extra-long spring break.

The night before this photo was taken, we decided that starting a long-distance relationship in the first few months of quarantine was in no way a roll of the dice! We helped pack up each other's respective belongings and went to different states as the world flipped on its head.

After a few months of nothing but FaceTime and a prayer, Jackson made his way back to Oregon. We were able to cautiously spend time together, all while being aware of Covid-19 restrictions.

We ventured outdoors, excited for the chance to be together without posing any harm to others, exploring all that the Pacific Northwest had to offer! Happy to begin building a foundation of adventure in our relationship, as both of us were raised with a love for exploration.

Once we were both back at school, most of our dates consisted of finding new spots to hike and spend a day getting to know each other better. On this particular day, the location unfortunately turned out to be a nude beach. We never returned.

We found pockets of time to be together during a busy fall season, with Jackson captaining the men's soccer team and Jessie starting a new job as the graphic designer for the athletics program. Was the job choice just a coincidence? Probably not...

We explored the numerous trails around our home as much as possible! Our perfect days consisted of long drives with a compilation of new questions to ask one another, hikes to waterfalls, and the discovery of new coffee shops on the way home.

One year down and happy as clams! We weren't ready to be a ring-by-spring couple but we sure as hell committed to the matching converse.

Jackson helped Jessie move, marking the first battle in the saga of Jessie and Jackson's war against storage units. Thankfully, our knight in shining armor, Gabe Fawver, came to save the day on this one.

Jackson secured a summer job with the GFU athletics department! Not only was he working in the same building, but they also had us sharing the same desk (literally two chairs, one desk—gotta love it). There's nothing like launching a new website together to strengthen the bond of a relationship! In all seriousness, this summer was an amazing time during which we were mentored by some of the greatest people that George Fox has to offer. We are forever indebted to them for supporting our relationship and individual lives.

Jessie visited Jackson's hometown of Helena, Montana for the first time for his Mom's birthday. Not only did she get to meet the Kellers for the first time, but almost the entire Faltynski clan as well!

Jackson played his senior season as the Captain of the George Fox men's soccer team as Jessie watched from the stands like an obsessed fan.

Overwhelmed with love and gratitude for this sport and the amazing people it brought into both of our lives. Jackson wouldn't be who he is without soccer, and neither of us would be where we are without those we met through GFU men's soccer.

We rode out the rest of our senior fall semester cheering as loud as we could for and with those we love.

With senior year careening at 1000 mph and graduation looming, we spent our spring break touring Jackson's grad school options in California.

Needless to say, we fell in love with what was soon to be our future home!

Officially graduates of the class of 2022! Both the Cox and Keller families came together in Newberg, Oregon, as we celebrated Jackson's bright future with a B.S. in Civil Engineering and Jessie's interesting adventure ahead with a B.A. in Illustration.

We spent a few months in Colorado Springs with the Coxes as Jackson prepared for graduate school at UC Davis and Jessie artistically panhandled and applied for as many jobs as she could.

Spending time with family, getting outside (in the Sun!!!), and trying new things was a nice change of pace after a tough senior year. Feeling so content in days filled with running, hiking, beekeeping, gardening, and so much more life-giving fun.

Jackson and Dakota consoled each other after Jessie landed a job in San Jose as the Director of Graphic Design for Santa Clara Athletics. Happy for the journey ahead but sad about the 2.5-hour drive to see each other next year (thankful for trains and the support of a great community).

One last trip up to see the Family Cabin up in Idaho Springs.

Jackson FINALLY makes it out to California and we are off the races exploring (one of) our new home(s)!

Lots of weekend dates as we commuted by train to see each other during Jackson's graduate year.

On the way to Chapman and Meghan's wedding! First time getting away in a while and it couldn't have been for a better reason.

Can't quite put into words how awesome it was to witness and be a part of this wedding. We were happy to take a break from the hard work of a first job and graduate studies to focus on family and marriage. Needless to say, it inspired Jackson...

Because the very next day he took the Coxes to lunch in Salt Lake City and asked for their blessing to marry their daughter.

Jessie moves into her very own place in Cambell, CA, and waits patiently as Jackson wraps up his studies and prepares for his descent to the Bay!

Unsuspecting, Jessie travels up to Davis for a weekend full of hiking in Tahoe. After summiting Eagle Rock Peak in snowpack they were most certainly not prepared for, Jackson set up the self-timer on his camera to capture this perfect moment.

One of the most beautiful days, and we'll cherish the quietness and closeness of it forever.

Waiting for finals to wind down, we took to the warm air and outdoor breweries of Davis as we awaited the Nuggets to win the Championship and for Jackson to walk across that stage!

Like dinners at Luna, one of our favorite restaurants just a quick walk up the road from our place.

Or sunset burrito runs from the food truck around the corner.

We even got to travel to see our favorite people on Vancouver Island, B.C.

This trip changed us for the better! It was so good to be with a community like this and escape to some of the most beautiful country out there.

Time to laugh and catch-up and ask Jo to be the Maid of Honor!!

Cannot stress enough how much we love these people.

Back at home as summer comes to a close...

But not without one last trip and some wedding planning in Bend, OR....

Jackson gets a job in Salt Lake City and to celebrate Kaya takes us to Joshua Tree to see what it feels like to get your ass handed to you on a half marathon!

Would be remiss not to mention how much this person has positively impacted not only both of us as individuals but also our relationship. We love you a lot, KD!
