There are a few ways to get to Whidbey Island. Check out our map to orient yourself with the area and view some of our favorite spots! Feel free to reach out with questions.

Taking the Ferry (Mukilteo/Clinton)

The most common way to get to Whidbey from Seattle is via a ferry from Mukilteo (a 45 minute drive north of Seattle). There are no reservations but the ferry departs every 30 minutes. At peak travel times in the summer (i.e. Friday afternoon and Sunday afternoon) you won't make the first ferry, so if possible we recommend getting to the ferry terminal in the morning. Grab some coffee/snacks and have a car picnic while you wait. After the 15 minute ferry ride, it is a ~35 minute drive to the wedding venue.

Driving around (Deception Pass)

For a more guaranteed travel time, you can drive around and avoid the ferry, plus Deception Pass is beautiful and worth a visit (stop for a hike if you have time). Driving around from downtown Seattle to the venue takes ~2 hrs without traffic, just make sure to adjust your google map directions to avoid the ferry route.

Air Travel

- If flying into town, the recommended airport is Seattle Tacoma International Airport (SEA).

- If you happen to be coming from California, there are also direct flights into Paine Field (PAE) which is just an 8 minute drive to the Mukilteo Ferry! You can rent a car at Paine through Avis.

- There is a shuttle from the Seattle airport to Coupeville if you prefer to not rent a car.
