What is the attire?

The attire for the wedding ceremony and reception is black-tie optional. Like the name suggests, black-tie optional is a bit less formal than black-tie weddings - meaning tuxedos aren't required but can still be worn. For women, floor-length gowns are encouraged but however, cocktail dresses are completely acceptable. For men, as mentioned, a tuxedo may be worn but however, a suit with a bow tie or tie is completely acceptable as well. In relation to the colors, please avoid colors traditionally reserved for the bride (whites, creams, ivory, etc.) and dark colors such as black, navy, charcoal, and jewel tones are encouraged.

What are the addresses of the wedding ceremony and reception venues? Are they wheelchair accessible?

The ceremony venue is The Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist located at 1007 Superior Avenue E, Cleveland, OH 44114. The reception venue is The Old Courthouse located at 1 W Lakeside Ave, Cleveland, OH 44113. Both venues are wheelchair accessible.

Is there parking available near your wedding venues?

Yes, parking is available both at the ceremony and reception venues. However, overnight parking is NOT included. Parking offered at the ceremony venue, The Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, is located directly behind the church and is free of charge. The address for the parking lot is 1100 Rockwell Ave, Cleveland, OH 44114. Parking offered at the reception venue, The Old Courthouse, is located directly behind the venue and is free of charge until the reception ends and thus, does NOT include overnight parking. For guests that are staying at the Hilton Cleveland Downtown, this is the same parking garage and we encourage you to coordinate your overnight parking plans prior to the start of the reception (drinking). The name and address of the parking garage is Huntington Park Garage and 1141 W Third St. Cleveland, OH 44114, respectively.

What is the easiest way to get to and from your wedding venues?

The easiest way to get to and from the ceremony venue to reception venue is via driving, especially considering the time of the year with the weather. However, the ceremony and reception venues are closely located to one another and a drive or walk amongst the two would take approximately 3 and 14 minutes, respectively. The easiest and safest way to get from the reception venue to your place of stay, especially if you're planning to drink, is an Uber or Lyft. If you're staying at the Hilton Cleveland Downtown, The Old Courthouse is attached to the hotel via an underground tunnel and thus, can be used to avoid going outside.

Will there be an open bar?

Yes, there will be an open bar for our guests!

Will there be meal options for guests with dietary restrictions or allergies?

The meal options for the reception will include a beef, chicken, and a vegetarian option. If you have allergies or dietary restrictions beyond these options, please note this within your online RSVP in your preferences once invites are sent out later this year.

Can I bring a guest?

If your guest's name is listed on your invitation when you RSVP, then yes! Otherwise we would love to keep our wedding as an intimate event with close friends and family.

Can I bring my children?

While we love all your children, this will be an adults only event. The only exception are those children in our wedding party. We hope you take this opportunity to have a fun night out with your significant other!

What is the wedding day itinerary?

Please visit the Home page for a detailed itinerary of the wedding day. Note that there is an approximate 4 hour gap between the end of the ceremony to the start of the reception. As such, please visit the Things to Do page for bride & groom recommendations to kill the time!

Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?

Yes, we encourage all of our guests to take pictures! That being said, please keep in mind that our photographer and videographer have the right of way during the day.
