On March 26, 2021 David and Jessie met at a bluegrass show in Cleveland, OH. David was playing music. Jessie was there to hear the music and be away from the hospital for the night. Through friends who were hosting a gathering after the show, we spent the early hours of the morning playing tunes, sharing stories, and talking about our love of hiking. David boldly asked Jessie out for a hike before we parted, and two days later we embarked into the forest on our first date-- a hike which would be our first of many trundles through the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Years later, we have enjoyed many hikes, trips, time with family and friends, movie marathons, and songwriting sessions.

Peninsula has our hearts as it is where we wrote the first several chapters of our love story-- traipsing these trails and streets, playing music (or for Jessie, mostly listening to music) in the Bronson Church or the GAR Hall, sharing a drink at the bar, or staring at the bright stars and the wide river and dreaming of the future. We hope to share our love of this town with you through our wedding weekend.

We are so grateful to be a part of a great community here in Northeast Ohio, and as we continue to build our lives in Akron we pray we would be as much a blessing to each other and to our community as you have all been to us.
