Alex and Jessie met in 7th grade English class at the age of 13. They sat next to reach other and had mutual friends in common. Alex likes to joke during the summer months of middle school that he was "stood up" multiple times (TWICE?!) for a "date" at their local park. Often you would find Alex walking home from school from Jessie's bus stop just to talk to her.

Alex persisted and they became "just friends" in high school. In the summer of senior year they became inseparable. August 2013 they started officially dating when Alex asked her to go to the first day of school "Together, together?".

Alex and Jessie were officially engaged in May of 2021 after college, adopting a dog (and multitude of other animals), renting an apartment, purchasing a house and moving to another state.

The movie, "The Princess Bride" was a requirement for Jessie to watch before Alex would propose.
