In late 2020, both Michael and Jessie did what every reasonable person did during Covid to meet new people. They each made a Bumble account. During their chats, they realized they both shared a deep love of animals, had a huge love for traveling, enjoyed reading, and LOVED food. Despite getting along so well, we never met up. That is, not until the morning Jessie was supposed to go to Grenada for another semester of school. Her Uber canceled at 3:50am, 20 minutes before she was to be picked up and taken to the airport. Michael was there 25 minutes later.
From that moment on, they were inseparable. While Jessie was away and Michael was state side, they kept in touch, sent each other food pictures, and logged on for once weekly video chats in the evening watching the sun set over the Grenada waters.
Since they have met, they have traveled to numerous cities and beaches, and have even traveled to the West coast. No matter near or far, they always find a delicious spot to eat, new coffee cafes to try, or a used book store to explore.
Along with exploring, they also love the simple life of game nights or dinner nights with friends, spending time with family, or just enjoying a quiet night at home with each other, a cat (or cats), a blanket, and a book.
We wanted to say a very sincere thank you for embarking on this journey with us. Thank you for supporting us and celebrating us. But most importantly, loving us. We love you guys.
