After both having grown up worlds completely apart, Nicholas from California and Jhojana from Panama City, we both moved to Washington DC where we met on October 10th, 2020.

We met through an online dating app an decided to have dinner at a Sushi restaurant neither of us had ever been to.

After our first date, and second, and third.....we could not stop seeing one another and continued to learn and love each other through numerous experiences. This included trips to Disney World and Disneyland which are locations that we both considered our happy place since we were kids. On a more day to day basis we take our dog Zasha for walks, have heated discussions about our latest Netflix show, or talk about where we are going on our next trip.

At the beggining of 2022 (January 1st to be exact) the proposal happened! The big moment was in front of the capitol building in Nick's home town of Sacramento, California surrounded by Nick's mom and sisters, who were a big help to make this happen.

We had a small wedding ceremony in Fairfax, Virginia on February 18th, 2022, and cannot wait to celebrate with everybody in Jhojana's hometown church in La Chorrera, Panama on October 8th, 2022!
