Will I get to see birds?
Yes! Our guests will have private access to the National Aviary exhibits/habitats during cocktail hour (5:30-7:00)
What should I wear?
Cocktail attire: dresses, suits, and elevated ensembles
Will any event be outside?
Both the ceremony and reception venues are indoor (and air conditioned) with optional access to an outdoor garden area during cocktail hour/reception
Where do I park?
Free parking will be available to our guests in the National Aviary parking lot. You may park here for both the ceremony and reception. In the event of any spillover, metered parking is available on all surrounding streets
How far is the ceremony from the reception?
St. Peter is a short walk down the street from the National Aviary. Please refer to the home page for a map
Where do we go in between the ceremony and cocktail hour?
Suggested nearby spots to check out: Allegheny Commons Park, Federal Galley, 40 North, Yinz Coffee, Four Points Brewery. Although food and drinks will not be served until 5:30, our guests will be allowed in the reception lobby as early as 5pm
Can I bring a plus one or my kids?
Unfortunately no children or plus ones unless otherwise indicated on your invitation
Will the ceremony include a full Catholic mass?
The Catholic service will include Liturgy of the Word & Rite of Marriage only. Our guests of all backgrounds should feel more than welcome to attend
Will there be an open bar?
Yes :)
Where do I make my meal selection?
No meal selection is necessary. Our guests will have three different food stations to pick and choose from. If you have any dietary restrictions, food allergies, or questions about the menu, please reach out to us at scottandjillgetmarried@gmail.com
Is there transportation to and from the hotels?
Our *preferred* hotels will offer shuttles to and from the wedding. Please see our travel page for a list of preferred and alternative hotels
