Hello there friends and loved ones who have made it here to read more about us. While ‘our story’ is written below, we know that there would be no us without all of you, and for that we must start with a heartfelt thank you.

Adam's roots run deep in Colorado, where he was born and raised in the suburbs just south of Denver. Adam's parents, Peter and Sandy, both hail from the Midwest but made their way to Colorado independently, drawn by the state's natural beauty and outdoor lifestyle. Their journey brought them together in the Rockies, where they settled and raised their family.

Adam grew up playing street hockey and basketball with his big brother Jacob (Jake), rooting on the Colorado Avalanche and Denver Broncos, cheering on Manchester United during early morning Premier League broadcasts, and playing soccer with friends every chance he had. Whether skiing down powdery slopes or trekking through scenic trails, Adam’s connection to the Colorado landscape was also a defining element of his upbringing. The mountains continue to be the place Adam goes to fill his cup and refresh his soul.

Jill hails from the great state of New Jersey, home to good bagels, delicious pizza and effective but aggressive drivers. Her hometown is right in the middle of the state, filling her childhood with both proximity to New York City and the beloved Jersey Shore. The oldest and only daughter, Jill grew up alongside her two brothers Bret and Eric. More affectionately known as Frick and Frack and/or "Bret, I mean Eric - or Eric, I mean Bret." Jill’s mom, Coleen is a New Yorker through and through and her dad, Steve a Jersey Boy (yes they have accents, no they are not Italian). They have been as happily married (as happy as you can be when having 3 kids in 3 years) for over 30 years and have been amazing models of true partnership, love and the importance of a good motorcycle ride.

Jill and Adam’s journey together began in classic pandemic fashion, over zoom. Jill had applied for a job at Adams County and Adam was a part of the interview panel and interviewed her. Jill charmed everyone (including Adam) into hiring her and joined the government affairs team, a move that would prove transformative for both of them. With Jill’s keen interest in politics and Adam’s shared enthusiasm, they found common ground right from the start. Their connection was further strengthened by their mutual love for music and their deep appreciation for the time spent with friends and family. This initial camaraderie quickly blossomed into a genuine friendship, which, over time, developed into something more (obviously).

We would be remiss not to mention another main character in this love story, Ruby. Also known as Scoobin, Shmeagus (her LOTR name), Rubenstien (her Jewish name), Rubidiah (her southern name), Harzgarth (her GOT dragon name) Scoobadiah, Teenie, Toony, and most affectionately Demon Dog. Unlike Ruby’s usual interaction with basically any man, she loved Adam immediately (really blowing up Jill’s spot to play it cool).

As their relationship deepened, Jill and Adam decided to make their home together in Capitol Hill, a vibrant and historic neighborhood of Denver. Spending most of their time taking evening strolls together through Cheesman Park and savoring their Saturday mornings drinking delicious overpriced lattes.

In 2023, Jill and Adam decided to take the first big step towards forever when they fought for their lives in the Denver housing market and purchased a house together in the Virginia Village neighborhood. With this decision they have started to put down deeper roots in Denver, solidifying their place in a community they deeply love. Their new home represents not just a physical space but a foundation for their future together and Ruby’s first yard (which she protects ever so fiercely).

Jill and Adam are thrilled to invite their friends and family to join them in Boulder for their wedding celebration, a city that holds deep personal significance for both of them. Boulder has been a backdrop to important chapters in their lives, making it the perfect setting for their upcoming nuptials.

Adam’s connection to Boulder began during his college years, where he immersed himself in the vibrant community, rooting on the Colorado Buffaloes and developing a deep affection for the city’s unique character. Meanwhile, Jill’s first years in Colorado were also spent in Boulder, where she too fell in love with the area's beauty, charm and farmers market. It’s a fascinating twist of fate that, unbeknownst to them at the time, Adam and Jill were both in Boulder in 2013, living parallel lives in the same place before their paths finally crossed years later.

Their wedding celebration is not just a personal milestone but also an invitation for loved ones to experience a little piece of the magical place that is their home, Colorado. Adam and Jill are excited to create new memories with their friends and family in a place that has been so meaningful to them.
