Hello Awesome Wedding Guests!

It has come to our attention that on the day of the wedding, the event Christmas in the Village will be taking place in downtown Stevensville from 3-6pm. This will result in the closure of one road near the reception venue (The Solarium) and parking will be at a premium, due to the number of people attending. We have worked with the venue to provide some alternate options to the public parking (which will likely fill up before the reception begins at 4:30). The venue will be providing workers to help direct wedding guests to available parking, as well as a golf cart to transport guests from some parking locations to the venue. They have also agreed to provide continuous bar service through the dinner hour to make up for any inconvenience this will cause. :)

Option 1- The best option for those that live locally or know others attending is to carpool to the ceremony & reception or have someone drop you off at the Solarium for the reception to reduce the number of cars needing parking spaces.

Option 2- For those who can carpool, you could park one car in the public parking near the Solarium prior to the wedding ceremony (and before the Christmas event has started) and then carpool with someone else to the church and back to the Solarium, where one car will need to park, but one will already be conveniently parked.

Option 3- You can proceed to downtown Stevensville directly after the wedding ceremony (around 2:00) and public parking will probably still be available. You could walk to Watermark for a drink, hit up The Squeeze for food and drinks, or take part in the Christmas festivities as you wait for the reception to begin at 4:30.

Option 4- If none of these options are available to you, the Solarium has spaces reserved for their employees that they are allowing guests to use. They have also secured permission from the business behind them (Wolverine Metal) to use their parking spaces exclusively for our wedding guests. There will be venue employees directing guests to available parking, as well as providing a golf cart to transport those who need it.

Map 1 shows (in green) the available reserved spaces. The red lots are public parking, which will likely be available before the ceremony, but after 3:00, will likely be full.

Map 1 also shows the road closure- St. Joseph Avenue. We know this is not ideal, but The Solarium has done the best they can to make things as easy and seamless as they can in a tricky situation. We can’t wait to see you all on Saturday!
