Jillian and Austin met during the pandemic in April of 2020 in Denver. Their first date was wine and a walk in Washington Park. About a month after meeting Austin moved back to his home state of Minnesota to accept an offer from Piper Sandler. Amidst the pandemic, reduced flights and the risk of an unknown illness they did long distance for a year. Spending holidays together as traveling and visitations with their parents were limited. After a year, Jillian moved to Minneapolis to join Austin (and the freezing tundra she said she would never return to!). Their first real date was not until July when restaurants were allowed to re-open in Minnesota.
