For the Indian ceremonies, the attire is typically bright, colorful, and full of life—think sarees, lehengas, and kurtas. It’s a joyful way to celebrate, and we’d love for you to join in the spirit if you’re comfortable! However, please don’t feel any pressure to wear traditional Indian clothing—wear what feels right for you.
For the Catholic ceremony, suits, dresses, or anything you would typically wear to a western wedding. But again, if you’re more comfortable wearing something else, feel free to do so! There’s no right or wrong here, and we want you to feel at ease.
That said, we do ask that everyone be respectful of both cultures' requests for more conservative attire during the ceremonies. It’s important to us that everyone feels comfortable, but also mindful of the traditions we’re honoring.
If you have any questions or need more guidance, don’t hesitate to reach out to the bride or groom directly—happy to help however we can!
Do I need to cover my head?
For the Hindu ceremony on Friday, we kindly ask that guests bring a scarf or head covering to wear. If you happen to forget one, don’t worry—we’ll have extras available for those who need them. We understand that navigating a mix of cultures can sometimes feel uncertain, so please don’t hesitate to reach out if you’re unsure about anything or need assistance. Our goal is for everyone to feel comfortable and included, so please feel free to ask questions—we’re all here to learn from each other and celebrate together.
