Jillian and Alex met on Washington Island in the summer of 2017. The two quickly became best friends when Jillian spent the whole summer on the Island the following year. For 3 summers in a row, they were inseparable and spent every day together until they had to go back to college. Although he was stuck in the friend-zone for a while, Alex finally managed to escape! In 2020, Jillian joined the Navy and went to San Diego, but they were able to visit each other every couple months. Alex proposed summer of 2023 on the beach on Washington Island, right where the wedding will be held!
