In 2004, Emma and her family moved to Middle Tennessee and began attending church with her grandmother. Soon after spending her Sundays at church, Emma met Jim and soon developed a crush on him. But they never spoke a word to each other.

In 2020, a mutual friend reintroduced us. And this friend also made it a point to tell Jim that Emma used to have a crush on Jim before.

Emma and Jim began talking, and he admitted that he had no memory of Emma at that time. We both found that we share a love of cooking, hiking, traveling, nature, and nostalgic movies. Soon after beginning our friendship, we began dating. Taking date days to state park hiking trails, traveling to niche destinations, cooking together, and sharing our favorite movies.

After almost a year of being a couple, Emma moved in with Jim, along with Emma's three children, Aiden, Ryan, and Morgan. Together, they all became a family that hikes and travels together.

We have helped each other through the highest points and the lowest. Through steep inclines on trails, and illness. We have shared our childhood memories and bonded over having similar goals and dreams.

In December of 2023, Jim took Emma to a niche trip located in Anakeesta, in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. During this niche trip, Jim got down on one knee and proposed to Emma with tears in both of their eyes.

Ever since we both decided to vow to spend the rest of our lives together, our relationship has only gotten better.
