While attending church, a mutual friend invited Jimmy to join our group. We all hit it off as friends. One day, just Jimmy and I (Emily) went to church and had lunch together afterwards. This turned into a 3-hour lunch and it just took off from there. After dating for about a month, I gave Jimmy a letter telling him how much I enjoyed being around him and that I loved him. It was the first time either of us said "I love you." We got much closer after that. Fast forward to November, and we are at the Dallas Arboretum on a very cold day. After walking for a long time, we happened upon a "Secret Garden" surrounded by trees. This is where Jimmy got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I immediately said "Yes!" Now there's a house to take care of and wedding planning to orchestrate. There's no better life partner for me. I can't wait for us to be husband and wife.
