Q + A

How do I RSVP?

Click the button labeled “RSVP” on the homepage. If you have been included a plus one on your formal invite or been addressed as “The ___ Family” PLEASE type in each name in your party individually to RSVP each person.

What time should I arrive?

The ceremony time will be given on your formal invite, and we ask that you arrive and be seated no later than 15 minutes before the ceremony begins. You may arrive earlier than 15 minutes and it will give you time to park, and find your seat. If you arrive after the ceremony has already begun, you will not be able to join but hang tight and join us at the reception! Thank you for your understanding.

Where should I stay?

A Room block is available at The Island Beach Resort under Sutton-Jones Wedding. Guests may also book over the phone by calling 850-337-9194. If extending your stay at the Beach, they would be happy to offer you the wedding block rate. For other options including surrounding hotels and condos, please see the travel section of the website.

Will transportation be provided?

We are not providing transportation to and from the events, but the ceremony and reception are in the same location and there is plenty of parking available. Free parking available for all wedding guests. If you do not wish to drive we suggest taking an Uber or Lyft.

What is the dress code?

Our dress code is beach formal...think beach sundresses, linen shirts, light blazers, summer suits, and lightweight trousers.

What will the weather be like?

Although we can not predict the exact weather, temperatures in Ft. Walton in late May are typically around 84 degree during the day and 70 degrees at night.

Can I take photos?

We have hired a professional photographer to capture our special day and ask that you do not use your cell phones during the ceremony. However, you are more than welcome to take photos and videos of the rest of the night.
