Jasmine's perspective: My friend Nina invited me to this Sango concert on a random Wednesday night. Not even knowing the artist, I decided to go. While we were close to the stage, she said that a guy kept looking at me, but I just ignored it. A couple more minutes went by and when I finally saw JJ, I noticed he was wearing glasses, short shorts, and a cap. I immediately thought, "why is this tall dude standing in the front blocking everyone's view?" My first comment to Nina was: "he looks like he rides a bike to work." He ended up offering us a drink at the bar and then him and I talked for a while. We all went to Pho 24 afterwards, and as we were leaving the restaurant, JJ asked for my number and if I wanted to go to dinner with him the next day. We went to the Taste of Alpharetta food truck festival on Thursday, went on a double date with Nina and her husband that Friday for Cinco de Mayo, and on Sunday we went to church together. Soon after we talked about what we were looking for in a relationship, the shoe fit, and the rest is history!

JJ's perspective: I almost forgot I had the Sango concert ticket. I randomly woke up from a long nap that Wednesday, an hour before the concert started, and decided to go. As I was looking around in the crowd, this girl next to me caught my eye and I couldn't look away. Something was different about her so I decided to shoot my shot once her and her friend went to the bar. When we were talking, I thought she was very attractive and cute, smart, and sociable. She caught me off-guard by talking about her faith. It really interested me because at that point in my life I wanted to have a better relationship with God. When we went to her church for the first time, I remember looking over at her and had this overwhelming feeling of "oh crap, this is it". God clearly told me that she would be my wife. We've hit some obstacles in our journey together, but I'm convinced that all the trails in my life were designed by God to equip me to be the best man for Jasmine. We are still learning and growing everyday, but I am confident that God has very intentionally put us together. I look forward to seeing what He has in store for us.
