Formal wear. As the wording here suggests, this dress code is slightly less formal than a black-tie wedding. So, a tuxedo isn't required, but can still be worn if preferred. If opting for a suit, however, a formal dark suit, white shirt, and a conservative tie are acceptable. For women, the outfit choices remain the same: a floor-length gown, a fancy cocktail dress, or a dressy pantsuit.
Our wedding is a Catholic Mass, so please make sure you have appropriate dress for inside the church.
What will the weather be like?
It's gonna be hot! The average high temperature in Knoxville in July is 88 degrees. It could rain, it could shine, but regardless we will be inside!
Are cell phones allowed at the wedding?
We are having an unplugged Mass (so no cell phones), but you are more than welcome to take pictures before and after, and during the reception!
What happens after the Mass?
After Mass, we will have a short window to take pictures with the family and bridal party. Please head to the Press Room where cocktail hour will begin at 4:30.
