Our Story

Joanna and Anthony’s love story began all the way back in 2014. Despite growing up in the same neighborhood, having mutual friends, and Joanna even cheering for Anthony’s Pop Warner football team for years, the two didn’t actually meet until Anthony transferred into Joanna’s chemistry class and the only open seat was next to her. Instantly, Joanna became curious about the boy who never seemed to speak. After trying (and failing) to have conversations during class, she took a different approach and slid into his DM’s thinking he might say more behind a screen. And she was right. They stayed up until 2am messaging that night and have been yapping ever since. Anthony officially asked Joanna to be his girlfriend on April 16, 2015, when Joanna’s daily horoscope app told her that day was going to be the best day of her life. While that rang true on that day, little did they know that they would experience so many more “best” days over the next decade.&nbsp; The two experienced so much of life together. Between love and loss, good days and bad days, Joanna and Anthony always seemed to lean on each other - no matter where they were. Through the awkwardness of high school, and the challenges of uncertainty during college, Joanna and Anthony found a sense of belonging and a feeling of home in one another.&nbsp; The next chapter of their story started when Joanna and Anthony moved into their first apartment together. This chapter is especially special because this was when Joanna and Anthony brought home their first fur-baby, Winston, who is named in honor of where they took their first stab at adulthood as a couple.&nbsp; Between apartment chores and the trenches of puppy parenthood, Joanna and Anthony realized that they really do make a great team. Anthony proposed that next summer on a life changing trip to Italy.&nbsp; From prom king and queen, to roommates, to fiancés, these high school sweethearts get to have their happily ever after on this new chapter as husband and wife.

Please be sure to book by the cutoff date of February 22, 2026.

Hilton Pearl River

Transportation will be provided to and from the venue for Hilton Pearl River guests. Buses will depart the hotel at 5:30pm and 6:00pm sharp for the venue. Please note, the ceremony promptly begins at 6:30pm. The hotel is about a 15 minute drive to the venue. At the end of the night, buses will depart the venue at 12:30am and 1:00am for the hotel.
