Booking Your Accommodations
The closest areas are: Sagaponack, Sag Harbor, Bridgehampton, Wainscott and Water Mill. Because there are limited accommodation options in The Hamptons, especially this time of year, and places book up well in advance, we recommend making your plans as early as possible. Most of the Inns and B&Bs require a 2 or 3-night minimum but tend to be more flexible with rate and minimum stay as you get closer to the date if they are not already fully booked.

Airbnb or VRBO
For our friends traveling from South Africa/abroad and for those who would enjoy sharing accommodations with others, we highly recommend booking through AirBnB or VRBO where you can find the most reasonably priced variety of options. We recommend looking for homes in Bridgehampton, Sagaponack (though less likely to find rentals in this area), Sag Harbor, Wainscott or Water Mill, which are closest to the wedding venue with Water Mill being further than the others. Long Island Railroad from NYC to The Hamptons
The Hamptons is about 2 hours from NYC. You can travel there by train, bus or car. Trains leave from NYC Penn Station (33rd street and 7th avenue) to stops in The Hamptons. Bridgehampton would be the most convenient stop. Please check the Long Island Railroad website for exact schedules from Penn Station. We recommend arriving to the station ahead of time to buy tickets and locate the correct track from which your train leaves.

Sag Harbor Inn
The Sag Harbor Inn offers modest rooms, right beside town. While the lobby has been renovated, the rooms are basic. The perks of this location are that it is conveniently located in one of our favorite towns and only requires a 2-night minimum. If you do choose to book here, a block of rooms have been held so please refer to the Novick/Schwartz wedding when booking.
Rental Car
If you prefer to rent a car, there are dozens of companies throughout Manhattan. Avis, Hertz, Enterprise and Budget would be among the larger companies, and you can check rates and availability directly from their websites. If you are planning to drive or take the bus, be mindful of weekend traffic and make sure to leave plenty of extra time to get out east. The advantage of renting a car is it will be that much easier to get around the Hamptons but know that taxis and Ubers are available there, too.
Hampton Jitney Bus from NYC to The Hamptons
The Hampton Jitney and Hampton Ambassador are luxury buses that leave from multiple stops in midtown up to the Upper East Side of Manhattan and stop in nearly all towns in The Hamptons. Because there are limited seats available, we recommend booking tickets in advance if you are planning to use this option. The most convenient drop off stop out east would depend on where you are staying (Water Mill, Bridgehampton, Sag Harbor, Wainscott, etc.). Please visit the website to look up exact schedules.

Baron's Cove
Baron's Cove would be a more upscale option compared to the Sag Harbor Inn and is just as conveniently located near Sag Harbor. We have locked in a rate, but please note, there is a 3-night minimum. Refer to the Novick/Schwartz wedding when booking.
Bridgehampton Inn
The Bridgehampton Inn is on Montauk Highway, just at the edge of Bridgehampton. It's a very convenient option, with a 2-night minimum stay. We've stayed there before - the rooms are lovely and quaint, but we do suggest asking for a room that faces the back since it is right on the main road.
Topping Rose House
The Topping Rose House is lovely and very convenient on the opposite end of Bridgehampton, but please note there is a 3-night minimum. Rates and minimum stay restrictions tend to ease up closer to the date if they are not already fully booked.
Wainscott Inn
The Wainscott Inn offers *very* modest accommodations and is close to the venue.
