Joanna and Max first met at a seventh grade birthday party at Rose's Run Country Club in their hometown, Stow, Ohio. Max was one of the only people at the party who went to a different middle school, so all of the girls wanted to get to know him. Joanna played it cool, while Max "picked her out of the crowd."
Joanna and Max remained friends throughout the rest of middle school. Things changed when Joanna and her family moved into Max's neighborhood during their freshman year of high school. The two became best friends after many car rides to school, walks around the block, and enjoying the summer together.
Max sealed the deal when he asked Joanna to the Homecoming dance their sophomore year, and the rest is history. During their twelve years together, they have experienced most of life's important milestones as a pair. From supporting each other's passions during high school: Joanna dedicating most of her time to ballet as a pre-professional dancer, and Max excelling on the Stow High School swim team, to experiencing college together at Kent State University, and finally supporting each other as they began their careers as young professionals.
Joanna and Max are so thrilled to share this next milestone with you all, and can't wait to start their lives together as husband and wife!
